01 /THE BRIEF
Finding care is the beginning of a longer journey.
Booking an appointment involves more than choosing a time. A patient needs to understand the available services, find an appropriate practitioner and know what happens next. On the other side, a provider needs to manage the appointments and interactions that result. Medroof brings those perspectives into one healthcare and wellness product.
MUBBITS worked on interface design, mobile development and backend integration. The scope connects service discovery, scheduling and virtual consultations, with separate experiences for patients and practitioners. Wellness and spa services form part of the wider offering, creating a need for clear distinctions between different kinds of appointment.
The design problem was to make a multi-service platform understandable at the point of use. A person booking a consultation should be able to identify the relevant path. A practitioner managing a schedule needs a different level of detail. The product structure has to support both without asking either user to navigate the other person’s work.

Give each service a recognizable entry point.
Medroof’s patient home screen presents the available care and wellness options as distinct starting points. That organization matters in a product offering more than one type of service. People should be able to recognize the area they need before they begin supplying information or choosing an appointment.
The interface combines a welcome area, a prominent telemedicine action and grouped service options. It uses a consistent blue, white and red visual language, with readable labels and a hierarchy that separates the main action from the wider offering. Those decisions make the home screen an orientation point rather than simply a directory.
The design also has to account for return visits. Once a person knows what they need, repeated use should feel familiar. Consistent navigation and service labels help preserve that familiarity as someone moves between browsing options and managing an appointment.

Connect discovery to a practical next step.
The practitioner discovery screen turns a broad service choice into a more specific decision. Search and specialty selection sit alongside practitioner information, helping people understand their options within the same flow. The next action remains close to the information that supports it.
This part of healthcare app design depends on useful information hierarchy. Names, specialties and appointment actions should be distinguishable at a glance, with enough consistency to compare the available options. The interface should not make a user remember details from several unrelated screens simply to decide where to go next.
Discovery and booking are therefore treated as consecutive parts of the experience. The product brings the relevant practitioner context into the scheduling journey so the appointment remains connected to the choice the patient just made.
View full size03 / MANAGING THE DAY
Make the schedule useful on the provider side.
A provider does not need the same home screen as a patient. Their next task may involve reviewing the day, checking an upcoming appointment or moving between consultation activities. Medroof’s scheduling interface presents appointments in a time-based view, connecting the calendar to the people and sessions within it.
The original screen distinguishes the current day from later appointments and keeps the schedule inside the application’s navigation. That makes the calendar part of the working product rather than a separate destination. Patient-facing booking and provider-facing scheduling become two views of a connected process.
The wider scope includes virtual consultation and follow-up workflows. A clear appointment structure provides the context for those interactions: who the appointment is for, when it is due and which service it relates to. Getting that structure right is fundamental to a coherent telemedicine experience.
03 /DESIGN MEETS ENGINEERING
The thinking beneath the interface.
Separate experiences for separate responsibilities
Patient and practitioner journeys share appointment context but serve different tasks. Keeping their interfaces distinct helps present the right information at the right stage. Access rules and data handling belong alongside those role definitions when scoping a healthcare application. React Native, React, Node.js and Firebase are part of the project’s technical toolkit.
Scheduling as the connecting structure
Booking is a handoff between discovery and the appointment itself. The product brings availability and scheduling into the flow, then provides a corresponding view for the practitioner. This relationship gives virtual consultations and follow-up activity a coherent place in the application, instead of treating them as unrelated features.
Room for a broader service offering
Medroof includes healthcare and wellness services within one platform. Reusable interface patterns keep navigation and appointment presentation familiar, while service-specific details remain distinct. This supports a broader offering without making every service feel like a different application. The underlying integration work connects those interfaces to the services behind them.
04 /THE OUTCOME
A connected experience on both sides of an appointment.
The delivered scope brings service discovery, booking and consultation workflows together, with interfaces for patients and practitioners. The product gives users a route from finding an option to arranging the interaction, while giving providers a corresponding view of their work.
The case demonstrates the value of designing the complete appointment journey. The patient experience cannot be considered in isolation from the schedule a practitioner manages, and the consultation needs a clear relationship to the booking that precedes it. Medroof connects those parts within a shared product structure.
05 /BEFORE YOUR NEXT BUILD
A little more detail.
Questions about the project and planning something similar.
What was MUBBITS’ role in Medroof?
MUBBITS worked on UI/UX design, mobile development and backend integration for the healthcare and wellness platform. The documented scope includes patient and practitioner interfaces, appointment scheduling, virtual consultation and follow-up workflows. The case study explains the product journeys and shows original project screens.
Can you build a telemedicine or appointment booking app?
Yes. We can help define patient and provider journeys, design the interfaces and connect scheduling, consultation and supporting services. The scope begins with the services being offered and the people responsible for them. Clinical processes, data requirements and regions of operation need to be considered during discovery.
How do healthcare data and compliance requirements enter the scope?
They need to be defined for the specific product, operating region and service model. We can work with your team on access controls, data flows and implementation requirements, alongside appropriate legal and clinical stakeholders. This case study describes product delivery; it does not represent a certification or a claim that every healthcare project has the same obligations.
Can a platform support both medical and wellness services?
Yes, with a product structure that makes the differences clear. Users need to understand which service they are choosing, the relevant provider and what the booking involves. Shared navigation and scheduling patterns can coexist with distinct service details. Medroof illustrates that broader approach through its healthcare and wellness offering.
